The author (Sayed Yousuf Hasan Tahir) has since long been yearning for an institution of good standard imparting instruction in both secular and spiritual sciences. He proposed this idea to his father (late Qari Sayed Rasheed-ul-Hasan, Second Preacher, Jamia Masjid New Town). He liked the idea and an attempt was soon made to implement the idea. My parents’ prayer were answered and my father’s friends, late Mr. Mughal and Haji Masood Parekh, offered us a place to begin our work in former Sabeel Masjid. On the 27th of Ramdaan, the Night of power, the Islamic Institute for Education came into being.
